Growing up in the Colorado Mountains, with a father who painted, I have been intrigued by this visual dance for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until 2006 that I was seriously bitten by the painting bug! Since that time I have studied my craft through reading and attending painting workshops with a number of nationally known artists. One of my best teachers has been nature itself, as I have spent countless hours outdoors honing my artists eye, and painting on location, or “plein air” as it is known in the art world.
