I believe paintings should attract the eye and convey feelings to the spectator that can be felt such as happiness, warmth, energy and memories. I love when the painting keeps the eye guessing allowing the viewer to discover a new detail, a significant meaning, or a new color guided by different lighting.

Growing up in the Colorado Mountains, with a father who painted, I have been intrigued by this visual dance for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until 2006 that I was seriously bitten by the painting bug! Since that time I have studied my craft through reading and attending painting workshops with a number of nationally known artists. One of my best teachers has been nature itself, as I have spent countless hours outdoors honing my artists eye, and painting on location, or “plein air”
