Carlene Schumacher

Using the printmaking techniques of polymer etching, collagraph, and chine collie, and sometimes adding collage, Carlene arranges and rearranges, joyfully exploring the infinite possibilities for creating Works on Paper.

She seeks visual stories expressive of wonderment. Prior to a fifteen-plus-year pause from exhibiting, as she served as caretaker for a family member, Carlene spent many years working in clay. Her unique and award winning vessels and sculptures have been exhibited regionally, nationally and in Korea.
